Did you know there are three defibrillators located within our community?
Automated External Defibrillators are designed for use by untrained or briefly trained laypersons. AEDs contain technology for analysis of heart rhythms. As a result, it does not require a trained health provider to determine whether or not a rhythm is shockable.
By making these units publicly available, AEDs have improved outcomes for sudden out-of-hospital cardiac arrests.
Defibrillators in the community will be able to provide a vital resource for gaining those extra vital minutes when dealing with a heart related emergency.
The defibrillator at Trevor basin is located on the wall of the public toilets in the disabled car park.

"I would like to thank the residents of Garth for providing the funds to enable us to purchase a defibrillator and in particular Francis Roberts & Son Funeral Directors, Barnett Engineering, WTE Printers, Prospect Cafe, Nant Ucha Farm and Llangollen Rotary for their generous donations. Without your support it would not have been possible."
