Defibrillators
Did you know there are three defibrillators located within our community?
Automated External Defibrillators are designed for use by untrained or briefly trained laypersons. AEDs contain technology for analysis of heart rhythms. As a result, it does not require a trained health provider to determine whether or not a rhythm is shockable.
By making these units publicly available, AEDs have improved outcomes for sudden out-of-hospital cardiac arrests.
Defibrillators in the community will be able to provide a vital resource for gaining those extra vital minutes when dealing with a heart related emergency.
TREVOR
BASIN
The defibrillator at Trevor basin is located on the wall of the public toilets in the disabled car park.

The family of Mr Norman Land funded this Defibrillator in his memory.
Mr Land was a member of The Llangollen Canal Boat Trust.
GARTH
Hafryn flats, Garth Road
The defibrillator at Garth is located on the wall of the Hafryn flats.

This defibrillator was fitted by The Wales Ambulance Service on 24th August 2018.

FRONCYSYLLTE
Thanks to generous donations, a Defibrillator machine has been installed at Froncysyllte Community Centre. We are very aware of the importance the equipment may have for residents and visitors to the area. Our friends at AN Richards and the Cakes and Company Community Café together with an anonymous benefactor provided the funds to buy the equipment and also to have it installed.
We invite everyone to come to the Centre to see where this specialist life saving equipment is located. In addition please let friends and family know too.
