Froncysyllte
Froncysyllte village is situated on the southern bank of the River Dee, in the foothills of the Berwyn mountains. it is also at the southern end of the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct which carries the Llangollen canal over the River Dee. it straddles the A5 London to Holyhead road.
In summer the canal is busy with holiday boats travelling to and fro between Llangollen and the Midlands. Visitors park and walk the towpaths and nearby hills.
